INTENSE Monitoring Mission and Coordination Meeting in Lviv
On 13 December 2018 a Monitoring Mission by the National Erasmus+ office in Ukraine (NEO Ukraine) under the international project of ‘Integrated Doctoral Program for Environmental Policy, Management and Technology – INTENSE’, 586471-EPP-1-2017-1-EE-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, took place in Lviv, at the Institute for the Carpathians’ Ecology of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The monitoring was conducted by Ivanna Atamanchuk and Veronika Tkachenko, the representatives of NEO Ukraine.
Odessa State Environmental University was represented by Prof. Anatolii Polovyi, Head of the Department of Agrometeorology and Agroecology, and Oleg Shabliy, Head of Foreign Relations Office.
During the visit, Prof. Kalev Sepp from the Estonian University of Life Sciences, as a project coordinator, made a report on current results as a whole. The progress reports were also presented by other partner institutions: Odessa State Environmental University, Kharkiv V.N. Karazin National University and the Institute for the Carpathians’ Ecology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences.
In addition, a training event, which included workshops by Prof. Hans-Peter Nachtnebel (University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria), Prof. Kalev Sepp (Estonian University of Life Sciences) and Prof. Anatolii Polovyi (OSENU), was organized for PhD students and academic staff from partner institutions.
A Steering Group meeting was held on 14 December 2018. The progress in implementation of the work packages 1-6, financial and administrative issues, as well as the schedule for the remaining project period were discussed.
The meeting was attended by representatives of the Estonian University of Life Sciences (Kalev Sepp, Henri Järv), University of Natural Resources and Life Sciences, Austria (Hans-Peter Nachtnebel), the Institute for the Carpathians’ Ecology of the Ukrainian Academy of Sciences (Mykola Kozlovskyi, Iryna Shpakivska, Volodymyr Rozhak), Odessa State Environmental University (Anatolii Polovyi, Oleg Shabliy) and Kharkiv V.N. Karazin National University (Hanna Titenko, Alla Nekos, Kateryna Utkina, Olena Chernikova).
