On 6 – 8 June 2018, the Third International Scientific-and-Practical Conference for Young Scientists on ‘Theoretical and Applied Aspects of Application of Information Technologies in the Field of Natural Research’ was held on the premises of the Faculty of Computer Science of Odessa State Environmental University. The founders of this conference were the Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv and the Lodz University of Technology (Poland).

The conference was aimed at consolidation of the scientific potential of young scientists, primarily those from our university, as well as other young scientists from Ukraine and foreign countries, in the field of information technologies, and discussion of the current challenges and ways to solve them.

The research results for publication were sent by the young scientists from Ukraine, Poland, UK, Bulgaria, France and Germany. It should be noted that most of the abstracts received from abroad are scientific papers of the graduates of OSENU Faculty of Computer Science who work in leading IT companies in the Western Europe.

Extensive geography was also represented at the conference among Ukrainian institutions of higher education.

The conference was organized in the formats of plenary reports, sessions and a round table.

On the eve of the conference, namely on 4 June, S.D. Kuznichenko, Head of the Department of Information Technology, and S.S. Velykodnyi, Senior Lecturer of the same department, reported on the conference for a live TV.

As a result of the discussion of scientific research during the conference, friendly scientific contacts with other institutions of higher education, scientific organizations and companies have emerged.
