On 24-26 October 2017, Odessa State Environmental University was represented at the 9th International Exhibition ‘Innovation in Modern Education’ and the 6th International Exhibition ‘World Edu’, which was held in Kyiv, at the Kyiv Palace of Children and Youth.

The international exhibition ‘Innovation in Modern Education’ is the only professional forum for educational, scientific and technical innovations in Ukraine, which presents the innovative achievements in the field of education. This year, the event gathered 93 educational institutions and organizations from Ukraine and 12 foreign educational institutions and international educational agencies from the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, Canada, the USA, Switzerland, Germany and other countries. Over three days the event was attended by over 11,000 people.

The OSENU exposition at the event was represented by the staff of Foreign Relations Department: Oleg Shabliy, Lidiia Popova and Ielyzaveta Sosmii. The promotional materials, presentations and a thematic poster on OSENU educational and international activities, as well as banners reflecting the role and achievements of the University in implementation of the European Commission projects ‘Qualifications Frameworks for Environmental Science at Ukrainian Universities (QANTUS)’, 544524-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-PL-TEMPUS-SMHES, which is at the final stage of implementation, and ‘Adaptive learning environment for competence in economic and societal impacts of local weather, air quality and climate (ECOIMPACT)’, 561975-EPP-1-2015-1-FI-EPPKA2-CBHE-JP, were demonstrated to the visitors.

In addition, on the first day of the exhibition, there was a presentation of OSENU on “Implementation of the results of the project ‘Qualifications Frameworks for Environmental Science at Ukrainian Universities (QANTUS)’, 544524-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-PL-TEMPUS-SMHES” (authors: Sergiy Stepanenko, Tamerlan Safranov, Anatolii Polovyi & Oleg Shabliy), held in the conference hall 2 of the exhibition.

As the exhibition results, OSENU was awarded the Golden Medal for Innovation in the activity of the higher educational institution on internationalization of higher education and the Diploma for active innovation in improving the quality of the educational process. Sergiy Stepanenko, the Rector, was awarded by Gratitude for the active organizational activity on introduction of innovations in updating of the educational content.
