Development of Ukrainian environmental education was discussed at the Conference in Poland

In the context of dissemination activities on the project 544524-TEMPUS-1-2013-1-PL-TEMPUS-SMHES, representatives of the Polish and Ukrainian Universities – QANTUS project partners attended the 24th Polish National Metodological Conference on ‘Environmental Conservation in the Natural Sciences’ at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow, Poland, on 6-8 September 2016.

The report dedicated to an overview of the status and prospects of higher professional environmental education in Ukraine was presented by Prof. Sergiy Stepanenko, Rector of Odessa State Environmental University, and Oleg Shabliy, Head of OSENU Foreign Relations Office.

In addition, the Ukrainian delegation held meetings with the Jagiellonian University and the University of Applied Sciences in Tarnów, during which discussed plans for the development of Ukrainian-Polish bilateral relations to further develop joint training programmes, research and institutional cooperation.
